 FAQs

  • In order to carry out gas work legally, all our commercial plumbers and engineers are Gas Safe approved and register to carry out installations safely.

To prove we are competent to work at height on lifts, cherry pickers or with the use of scaffold towers; our engineers must hold an up-to-date PASMA card.

As a company, we also have Personal and Public Liability Insurance which can cover us for any place of work up to the value of £10million.

  • As all plumbing emergencies are different, this very much depends on the type of solution that’s required and your location. For emergency situations in the Hull area, we would anticipate a four-hour response. However, this does alter according to the number of engineers we have available at the time.

Once we arrive on site, our ethos is to make the situation safe, and prevent further damage from occurring. We can then carry out a full on-site assessment to determine what the long-term solution is before ordering the parts and returning to carry out the fix. In most cases, this happens within a 24 or 48-hour period.

  • To provide our customers with complete peace of mind, all our work is backed by a 12-month parts and labour guarantee. Should you suffer from any problems or snags during this time, call us up and we will return to sort the problem for free. All parts are covered by the manufacturer’s standard warranty, where applicable.

  • If you do not have any drawings or a scope of works, don’t worry. We can come to site, look around and give you a price and time estimate based upon best-practice recommendations.

Once we have conducted an on-site visit, we will complete a Scope of Works and provided a detailed quote which outlines all of the work required, including all of the necessary parts and associated labour costs.

At this stage we can provide an estimated timescale for completion. Having agreed upon a deadline, we will allocate the right number of engineers to the project to ensure it does not run over.

To ensure your project stays on track and keep disruption to a minimum, we will negotiate a schedule of works to suit you. If required, we will work evenings and weekends. Whatever it takes to get the job done. On time and to budget.

  • As well as being Gas Safe registered, all engineers must comply with the current UK gas and water regulations, aligned to the current Building Regulations. We also attend regular Health & Safety training courses and complete annual refresher updates, including Asbestos Awareness.

When working on a project or construction site, our engineers and Project Managers are required to attend any ‘Toolbox Talks’ and site meetings, as agreed with the client in advance.

  • We know how important it is to keep clients updated during a project and will be happy to adapt our approach based on your requirements. We regularly attend on-site meetings and can issue regular updates as and when required via email or a quick phone call. Whatever suits you best.

  • To make the administration process as smooth as possible – for us and our clients, we use Job Logic management software to keep track of everything.

When a job comes in, we can enter all of the requirements on to our system, look at what is required and compile an appropriate quote or schedule of works.

To make life easier for our engineers, they receive the details of each job on their handheld tablet so they know exactly what’s required. Having conducted an on-site survey, they can then fill in their findings and make us aware of any extra additions, along with accompanying photos and a description of what needs doing.

As soon as that's done, it is sent back to our head office so that we can accurately cost the project and sent to our clients for approval.

When the work has been carried out, it is mandatory for our engineers to gain client sign-off before leaving site to evidence the jobs is complete. We can then send all invoices, certificates, regulations, parts and materials used and warranties to you via email. Typically, this will be done within 24 to 48 hours.

  • All of the work we conduct is carried out on standard 30-day payment terms, unless it has been agreed in advance or clearly stated otherwise. Once a job has been completed, you will receive an invoice via email.
